Flute
Our flute teacher is Linden Greatwood and here is her story of how she got into Irish traditional music.
"I have been teaching flute, clarinet and saxophone in Melbourne schools for several years. While at university studying for my Bachelor and Master of Music degrees, I started to have an interest in Celtic music, starting with tin whistle and bodhran and later moving to Irish flute. I play regularly at Comhaltas sessions and was even lucky enough to participate in two fantastic sessions in Galway on my recent holiday to the UK and Ireland. This year I started a Celtic band at one of her schools which has performed a number of times at concerts, school events and St Patrick's Day as well as accompanying Irish dancers. I am looking forward to teaching flute for Comhaltas in 2010."
Linden will also be teaching intermediate and advanced whistle.

Please see below the list of tunes that we are currently leraning from the Comhalta Fionn Seisiun books
